At HWB we work to keep our memberships equitable with some sliding scale available for all membership levels. The suggested sliding scale for full memberships is available for Individual, Solo Nonprofit, and Solo Business levels. The graph below represents a tool to help you determine at which sliding scale level to join.
When you join as a member, each solo level has 3 monthly or annual sliding scale options for you to join at with additional financial need level memberships below.
If you live where your currency conversion to US Dollars is not compatible with our sliding scale - such as you live in a nation where folks make $300/month as a full time wage - then the sliding scale above is not likely accessible to you either. If you are unable to join as a full sliding scale member, we do also offer financial need sliding scale memberships for those unable to access the recommended sliding scale amount. When you join as a financial need member, there are several annual options and one monthly option for the financial need sliding scale. Financial need levels do not qualify to form a chapter/clinic/project or be a Coordinator due to the costs HWB incurs.
We also do offer a limited number of financial need membership scholarships per year for folks in nations where the average income is significantly below the USD conversion, where monetary systems have collapsed, where they are experiencing war or living in refugee camps, or in nations that have blocked international monetary fund transfer systems such as stripe, PayPal, and donor box. Scholarships are for 1 year at a time, and you can re-apply annually.

Coordinators must be full dues paying members due to our general liability requirements and our out of pocket expenses in training Coordinators, managing Chapters/Clinics/Projects, registration in many states or nations, and our fees to ship Coordinators initial packets. However, we do offer a limited number of financial need scholarships per year for Coordinators in nations where the average income is significantly below the USD conversion, where monetary systems have collapsed, or in nations that have blocked international monetary fund transfer systems such as stripe, paypal, and donor box. Those that receive a full HWB Financial Need Membership Scholarship may qualify to form a Chapter/Clinic/Project since their membership comes from a donation fund to cover the Chapter/Clinic/Project expenses and to meet the general liability requirements.
