Share a Seed logo

Share a Seed

Washington DC, USA

Share a Seed is a mutual aid-style seed sharing and growing program founded early in the COVID-19 pandemic. This project seeks to create abundance in place of scarcity by utilizing mutual aid and traditional seed swap models that leverage community to fill resource gaps. Growers and gardeners share their spares (seeds, garden equipment, soil) with Share a Seed, which then redistributes resources through the DC area through mutual aid, skill share, and other events. Program events vary and include not only seed share and seed swap events, but also skill-building and work day events at local urban farms and community gardens. Share a Seed seeks to connect community members with less resources and experience to the mentors, skills, and resources they need to get growing.

Spotted Horse Farm logo

Spotted Horse Farm

West Virginia, USA

The Wise Woman Tradition is the oldest tradition of healing, often invisible and nearly forgotten in todays’ world of fast everything. The Wise Woman Way nourishes: Food is medicine. It is often quiet and gentle. Disease becomes a doorway for transformation. The herbs are simples: Single herbs that replenish our body’s innate ability to heal itself. The Wise Woman Tradition is returning the Art of Herbal Healing to “We the People”.

I offer classes at my farm or your home; Edible and medicinal weed walks, cooking classes, create your own herbals. I create Tinctures, Ointments, infused honeys and teas. All of my work is offered with conscious loving attention and in the Spirit of Reciprocity. From my heart and hands to yours.

Sunny Day Herbs

Walnut Grove, Missouri

Have you been struggling with your health? You have a feeling that something isn't quite right but you can't put your finger on it? Or maybe you've been to the doctor.... or several doctors, and still have more questions than answers?

I use the Traditional Chinese Medicine model to choose plants with the right energetics and actions to help bring you back to optimal health. By selecting the appropriate herb for you specifically, any pattern of disharmony in your body can be brought back into balance.

By using plant remedies, balance can often be obtained in a gentle yet powerful way, and often with no or few side effects. Your body innately desires to heal itself, but must have the right tools and environment to do so. I help you identify the tools and environment needed to bring balance and wellness into your life. A body in balance is well.
