HWB Southeast Queensland

Our focus is on rebuilding a connected, practical Herbalists Without Borders community in South East Queensland. We support community gardens, encourage people to grow their own food and medicinal plants, and share simple, evidence-informed skills for making herbal remedies at home. By bringing people together through workshops, community events and outreach, we aim to strengthen knowledge around food as medicine, self-sufficiency and community resilience, while ensuring herbal healthcare is accessible to those who need it most.

Our region is experiencing many of the same challenges seen across Australia, including a growing unhoused population, rising cost of living pressures and increasing food insecurity. Our focus is on practical, accessible education that helps people become more resilient through growing their own food and medicinal plants, learning simple herbal skills, and reconnecting with traditional knowledge. We are interested in community gardens, plant walks, hands-on workshops, youth engagement, free clinics and developing care kits to support vulnerable members of our community during times of hardship or natural disaster.
