Chapter Coordinator:
Joanne Medina
Hola a todos! My name is Joanne Medina and I’m a first generation US citizen born in Los Angeles, CA to immigrants from Colombia and Mexico. I enjoy nature, plants, animals, sports, traveling, yummy food, but most of all making memories with my family.
I worked in a retail pharmacy setting for over 22 years and saw a need for affordable and easily accessible holistic healthcare services for my community, the High Desert area of Southern CA. I began making loose leaf tea blends and herbal bath soaks for my friends and family in 2022 when I truly began to embrace the food as medicine philosophy.
I utilize the knowledge passed down from my ancestors by devotedly incorporating indigenous wisdom and practices for healing the body, mind, and spirit. I love to connect and commune with like minded individuals interested in reverting to caring for nature, so nature can continue to care for us.
