HWB Cincinnati Chapter

Our goals in 2026 are to finish building our back rest and reflection garden with native herbs and shrubs. We hope to build an outdoor education space for offering herbal and garden educational classes. We hope to partner with our local library to donate seeds for their seed bank.

We are in a historically black neighborhood which has a high poverty rate. We have many health disparities. Our areas of focus are on pregnant and postpartum families, food security, mental health and wellness, and community building.

We have partnered with Dark Woods Farm and Kentucky Organic Association to offer free CSA boxes of organically grown vegetables to mothers who are pregnant or postpartum and on WIC. We were able to distribute 2500 lbs of vegetables. Also we have community herbal and flower gardens. Additionally we give away seeds. We give away plants at our annual spring open house. We harvest herbs and are going to be offering more classes on herbal education, seed starting, and growing your own food.
