Community-Based Outreach

Our vision for the future is that every community will utilize aromatherapy tools and education to support community action and outreach.

Our Community Aromatherapy program is designed to bring the benefits of aromatherapy to at-risk communities through a collaborative and well-structured approach, utilizing donated supplies and the expertise of a certified aromatherapist to review and formulate products specifically for free clinics, community outreach, and educational initiatives.

These efforts extend to various community models, ensuring that aromatherapeutic tools are accessible and effective in supporting those most in need, particularly after natural disasters and during relief efforts.

This program is not just about providing ready-to-use tools; it’s also about empowering our coordinators with the knowledge and skills they need to incorporate aromatherapy into their community work.

While they don’t need to be certified aromatherapists, our program equips them with a solid understanding of the basic interactions and safety guidelines that are integral to our preparations. This ensures that they can confidently use and share these resources in their communities, enhancing the support available to those in need.

Our US Donation Network is dedicated to making and supplying some of the following aromatherapy supplies:

Community Aromatherapy Model

The Community Aromatherapy model at HWB is the first of its kind, reaching thousands of people each year. By combining the power of aromatherapy with community education and support, we are able to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Aromatherapy tools are incredibly versatile, making them easy to use, distribute, and demonstrate across a wide range of settings. Their compact nature and simplicity mean they can be quickly integrated into various relief efforts, whether in refugee camps, unhoused communities, disaster relief clinics, or broader community aid and outreach programs.

These tools work effectively with those we serve, providing immediate comfort, stress relief, and emotional support in challenging circumstances. Aromatherapy’ gentle yet powerful benefits make it an ideal resource for reaching people where they are, offering a sense of care and dignity during times of great need.

Aromatherapy is particularly impactful when working with trauma, as it offers a gentle yet powerful means of supporting mental health and wellness. By promoting healthy sleep, reducing stress, and creating a calming environment, aromatherapy helps individuals manage the emotional and psychological toll of traumatic experiences. These tools serve as a vital resource in helping people regain a sense of balance and peace, addressing both immediate needs and long-term well-being.

The US Donation Distribution Network makes HUNDREDS+ of aromatherapy items from donated supplies every single month and distributes them out to the US states, territories, and to folks working along the border.
