Understanding the HWB U.S. Donation Distribution Network:

HWB is a small, grassroots nonprofit that relies on community support and donations to help us achieve our goals and to support community herbalism and holistic wellness disaster relief in communities. Providing funding is a direct way to support HWB projects, but we also welcome donations of herbal first aid supplies, extracts, dried herbs, and more to help us get down to the ground green medicine to the people.

HWB intakes donations at our U.S. Community Apotheca/Donation space in Wisconsin and then distributes them out to HWB Chapters, Clinics, and Projects. While all groups might get some donated supplies locally, none of us can source everything we need to serve our communities. So, by intaking donations at our central hub, we are supporting an equitable redistribution of supplies with minimal to no waste, and a fair system of sharing that does not overwhelm Coordinators who do not have space to store, make, or prepare the items themselves. Our US Donation Network location is also where we are able to take donated supplies and make items ready to go for Coordinators. We prepare salve, ointments, balms, inhalers, rollerballs, lotions, gels, rubs, steam blends and more- we are able to fully utilize what is donated and share prepared and properly labeled items out in quantities needed for each community. By donating into our network, your supplies can be distributed to several groups serving communities in need, and be ready in case of a disaster response if needed as well. We could not do this volume of amazing work in distributing donated supplies every month around the US without the support of our members and herbal community contributing supplies into our network for our continued use.
