What is an Herbalists Without Borders Clinic?
Chapters with qualified practitioner members may have a clinic, but HWB also allows standalone clinics. HWB Clinics form from existing clinics, schools, or businesses that are already hosting free clinics and would like to align with the mission and values of HWB, access resources and benefits by being HWB members, or operate under our 501c3 umbrella for free clinic days. These groups are not usually open to the public or hosting chapter meetings, but focus on free people’s clinics in their communities, often with a clinical practice/practitioner, or herbal school with a student clinic. All volunteers join as HWB members and volunteer as a member of our organization!
What is an Herbalists Without Borders Project?
An HWB Project is a community based project that is operating under the 501c3 non-profit umbrella of HWB, and has organized under us as a member and project to access our member benefits and support. Projects usually have one focus, and can fall within a Chapter territory – without needing an hour distance apart. Projects often serve a specific population, focus on a particular area of work (community garden, unhoused outreach, etc.) or align with the community service arm of a small business, herb school, nonprofit, mutual aid group, community organization, or club/guild. Projects may also be allied groups or organizations joining to support our mission, access resources, and be a part of our network support. All project volunteers join as HWB members and volunteer as a part of our organization!
